BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MANAGEMENT

Graydon L.M. Kowal, President, CEO
Mr. Kowal has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Guardian since 2001. He has been active in the petroleum industry in Alberta and British Columbia for the last 15 years. This has included the start-up of several oil and gas service companies during that time. Since 1995, Mr. Kowal has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Helicopters Inc., a private helicopter company serving the oil and gas, mining, and forest industries across North America.

Scott Reeves, Corporate Secretary
Mr. Reeves is a partner at the law firm of TingleMerrett LLP. He has acted as corporate and securities counsel to numerous Canadian and International public and private corporations, including oil and gas, technology, mining and industrial issuers, and has wide experience in private and public debt and equity offerings, corporate acquisitions of assets and/or shares, corporate structuring and debt financing. He has extensive experience assisting issuers intending to list and operate on Canadian stock exchanges and teaches nationally in the area of e-Commerce financing. He is currently a director and/or officer of the several Canadian public and private companies. Mr. Reeves has been with TingleMerrett LLP since 2003 prior to which he was with the Calgary office of Bennett Jones LLP. Mr. Reeves has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (hons.-1990) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Laws (hons.-1995) degree from the University of Alberta and is a current executive member of the Advisory Board of the TSX Venture Exchange and the Canadian Bar Association’s Southern Alberta Business Subsection executive.

Gerry O'Reilly, VP of Exploration
Mr. O’Reilly has over 26 years experience developing oil and gas prospects, land sales and property acquisitions in western Canada including the discovery of a number of gas and oil pools. He has demonstrated expertise in building and operating successful exploration companies, and is skilled in managing exploration, acquisition, development and operational budgets. Mr. O’Reilly completed a Master of Science in 1981 at Imperial College, and a Bachelor of Science, Honors in 1977 at the University of London, London, England.

MIchael Costello, CA, CBV, CFO
Mr. Costello has over 20 years of professional experience in a variety of senior financial executive, professional and consultative roles gained within a diverse range of publicly-traded and privately-held companies and professional service firms in London, New York, Toronto and Calgary. He has valued corporations and business interests in a variety of situations involving acquisitions and divestitures, corporate restructuring and capital raising activities. Mr. Costello completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary in 1984, obtained his Chartered Accountant designation with KPMG in 1987 and his Chartered Business Valuators designation in 2002.
Dennis Jonk, Director
Mr. Jonk has been involved in oil and gas operations and facility design for the past 15 years. Mr. Jonk has extensive experience in scoping, cost estimation, design and execution of oilfield pipeline and facility projects. His focus has primarily been in the areas of sour gas transportation, compression and dehydration. He has a sound reputation in building safe, fit-for purpose and cost effective facilities throughout the WCSB. Mr. Jonk currently provides consulting services to various clients as a pipeline and facility engineering project manager. Mr. Jonk completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with Honors in 1984 and in 1991 received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Business Management from the University of Alberta.
Orville Cole, Director
Mr. Cole has been active in oilfield operations from 1974 to 1996 with Halliburton Energy Services. Since January 1997 he has provided consulting services to the oil industry in North and South America. Mr. Cole has a proven reputation as President of a consulting and production management company since 1998 with an exemplary record in safety and regulatory responsibility. Mr. Cole has significant skills in managing budgets and team building through the oil industry downturn of 1998 on to the positive growth of today's industry. Mr. Cole's qualifications include the development of strategies for three separate oil and gas endeavors and one successful service company venture. Mr. Cole was the President and a director of Strike Petroleum Ltd. from November of 2004 to December of 2006. He currently consults to numerous operating companies for operations management and property valuations.
